Thank you for your interest in Spetisbury CE VA Primary School. Your child maybe starting school for the very first time, or even moving from another. This is an important and exciting time if not a little daunting!
As the Headteacher at Spetisbury School, I am very excited at being part of an ever developing school with such wonderful facilties and the dynamic curriculum we provide our children.
At Spetisbury CE VA Primary school we see our role as not only contributing to the learning journey your child has already started, but also, developing a partnership with yourselves.
We believe the best way to educate children is by providing a happy, caring and positive environment with a Christian ethos. We encourage everyone to achieve their best and strive for high standards in teaching, learning and behaviour.
We work to achieve this by helping each child:
- develop a lively and enquiring mind, to grow in imagination and sensitivity by encouraging understanding, awareness and curiosity of the world.
- to acquire knowledge, skills, confidence and self esteem.
- to develop spiritually and to adopt personal and moral values, ensuring that everyone shares the right to equal respect and consideration.
We do this by
- equipping each child with the necessary skills in all areas of the curriculum with a strong emphasis on language, listening, reading, writing and communication in all its aspects.
- encouraging parents to take a full and active part in their child’s education.
- developing good working relationships between parents, staff and governors.
Visits are most welcome as it is an excellent way to see the school in action. Please contact Miss Erim, our school secretary, to make an appointment and to pick up copy of our prospectus and the county admission form.
We look forward to working in partnership with you during your child’s progress in learning with us.
Yours sincerely,
Jane Minett
Headteacher
